Embedding/Integration of Canvas App into the Model Driven App
Embed canvas app into the model driven is very easy process, in this post we will see how we can embed the Canvas app into the Model Driven App Form step by step.
1. Open the Main Form in Edit Mode.
2. Click on 'Switch to classic' option at top left corner.
3. Create a New Field, Click on 'New Field' button at 'Bottom Right Corner'.
5. Double Click on the Newly Created Field, New properties section popup will be visible.
Go to the 'Control' Tab at last and click on 'Add Control link'.
Again another popup will open.
Select 'Canvas app' and Click on 'Add' Button.
6. Click on 'Edit' icon of 'App Id', Select to 'Bind to static value' and provide the App Id.
- To get the App Id go to the Solution, click on three dots and click on details option.
7. Click on Customize button to Embed the Canvas app into the Model Driven App.
It will open a Canvas App.
Provide the DataSource,
Navigate back to Classic Form and Click on 'Add' button.
Click on 'Save' and 'Publish' button in Classic Form.
8. Navigate to Model Driven Application.
Open the Form Where you have Embedded the Form, Now Canvas App will be visible.
